HRDC [Human Resources Development Canada] has signed a contribution agreement with Groupe Forces du Centre-de-la-Mauricie to set up the Institute, which operates mainly in French (e.g. business plan in French only) but has an official English name. Its four priorities are: 1. To become the national reference centre with regard to tourism and electronic commerce. 2. To promote the systematic use of technological marketing applications and transactional tools. 3. To work in collaboration with learning institutions to develop tools adapted to the needs of the industry both in Canada and internationally. 4.
