OBS

The term basilar invagination is used to describe basilar impression which results from diseases producing softening of bone (Paget's disease, rickets, osteomalacia, scurvy, fragilitas ossium, cleidocranial dysostosis, hyperparathyroidism). [From TEXRA, 1985, p. 1162.]
