L'impression directe [...] est la forme d'impression la plus employée. Elle consiste à déposer une pâte colorée directement sur l'étoffe. Cette pâte peut ensuite être appliquée à l'aide d'un [...] cadre plat, [d'un] cadre rotatif [ou d'un] rouleau. Après l'application de la pâte, il faut fixer le colorant à la chaleur. Pour cela, il est possible d'utiliser trois types de chaleur suivant la matière textile utilisée : - la vapeur saturée : 102 °C et 100 % d'humidité pendant 20 à 40 minutes, dans un vaporiseur; - la vapeur surchauffée (polyester) : 130 °C pendant 10 minutes, dans un vaporiseur; - l'air chaud : 180 °C pendant 1 à 2 minutes, dans une rame.
