As approved by the Cabinet and announced in Budget 2005, it will be mandatory for all departments and agencies to use Public Works and Government Services Canada Standing Offers, where they exist. Since many of the current Standing Offers may be specific to one Region or may have been negotiated some time ago, we have recently completed a review of the Standing Offers in place for a first Group of 10 commonly purchased goods and services, to ensure that they are useable and represent good value.
