Human Resources Development Canada. Youth International provides youth with internationally focused work experience and is offered in partnership with the private-sector and non-governmental organizations. These internships, mainly in international trade and development, provide youth valuable work experience, mentoring and contacts in other countries. In 1997-98, the budget for this program was $10 million and made provision for 400 Youth International internships.
