The act respecting the grain trade in the Inspection District of Manitoba, enacted in 1900 on the eve of a general election, largely followed the recommendations of the Royal Commission. The act provided for the appointment of warehouse commissioner .... The act provided for the appointment of a chief weighmaster to supervise grain weighing and also prohibited the mixing of grain in terminal elevators and obligated country elevators to grade and weigh grain on the basis of clean grain.

La loi relative au commerce du grain dans le district d'inspection du Manitoba, adoptée en 1900 à la veille d'une élection générale, tenait compte dans une large mesure des recommandations de la Commission royale. Elle prévoyait la nomination d'un commissaire-magasinier [...]. La loi prévoyait également la nomination d'un chef du pesage chargé de contrôler le pesage du grain; interdisait de mélanger les grades de grain dans les silos portuaires ou industriels et obligeait les exploitants de silos ruraux à classer et à peser le grain une fois celui-ci nettoyé.
