Système du numéro métrique. C'est la longueur en mètres d'un gramme du fil considéré. Par exemple, un fil Nm 20 est un fil dont 1 g correspond à 20 m de fil. Dans ce système, un fil est d'autant plus fin que son titre en Nm est élevé.
