The Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada is providing orientation sessions in various countries abroad. All categories of future immigrants to Canada may be invited to participate at free orientation sessions that are given in the immigrants' native language prior to departure for Canada. The sessions are provided in one, three or five-day modules, and interpreters are used if necessary. Orientation sessions provide a realistic view of life in Canada and include topics such as culture shock, employment, education, climate, rights and responsibilities, family life, cost of living, housing, and others. Le ministère de la Citoyenneté et de l'Immigration donne des séances d'orientation dans divers pays, à l'étranger. Toutes les catégories de futurs immigrants vers le Canada peuvent être invitées à participer aux séances d'orientation gratuites qui sont données dans la langue maternelle des immigrants avant leur départ pour le Canada. Les séances sont offertes sous forme de modules de un, trois ou cinq jours. Elles présentent une vision réaliste de la vie au Canada et couvrent des sujets tels que le choc culturel, l'emploi, l'éducation, le climat, les droits et les responsabilités, la vie familiale, le coût de la vie, le logement et bien d'autres.
