Cette technique, déjà ancienne (1947), est aujourd'hui courante dans tous les centres d'audiométrie. Elle consiste à conditionner l'enfant à répondre à un stimulus sonore par le jeu [...]. Cette technique ayant pour but de déterminer un seuil d'audition pour chaque fréquence, on commence, pour une fréquence donnée, par un son d'intensité assez élevée. On diminue ensuite progressivement l'intensité jusqu'à ce que l'enfant hésite ou cesse d'appuyer sur la manette.
