Employees who qualify may elect at any time to retire and opt for benefits under the Public Service Superannuation Act. Those who do not qualify for full pensions immediately upon retirement but who have at least five years service, may choose either a deferred pension (after age 60) or a reduced pension (after age 50).

Les employés peuvent choisir, en tout temps, de prendre leur retraite et d'opter pour l'une des diverses formules de prestations offertes en vertu de la Loi sur la pension de la fonction publique.
