Objectives of the Food Safety Action Plan. The objectives of the FSAP are as follows: Enhance capacity to identify risks, determine where they come from, and determine how to reduce and mitigate them. Provide inspectors with additional tools to prioritize their activities, verify compliance, and take enforcement actions. Improve consumers' ability to be well engaged in order to make informed decisions — consumers must play an active role in the safety of their food. Plan d'action pour assurer la sécurité des produits alimentaires. Les objectifs du PAASPA sont les suivants : Renforcer la capacité de cerner les risques, de déterminer leur origine ainsi que la manière de les réduire et de les atténuer. Fournir aux inspecteurs d'autres outils leur permettant d'établir l'ordre de priorité de leurs activités, de vérifier la conformité et de prendre des mesures d'application de la loi. Accroître la participation des consommateurs pour qu'ils puissent prendre des décisions éclairées, car il importe que ces derniers jouent un rôle actif pour assurer la salubrité des aliments qu'ils consomment.
