OBS

Certain aircraft have wing in one piece, or in left and right halves joined at centreline; such have no centre section, though some authorities suggest it is then wing inboard of main landing gear.

Le fuselage peut se décomposer en trois parties distinctes : la partie avant qui comprend le poste de pilotage, différentes soutes et enfin la pointe avant, qui abrite soit le moteur, soit le radar dont l'antenne est recouverte par le radôme, partie non métallique laissant passer les ondes radar; la partie centrale qui sert de cabine pour les passagers ou de soute pour les bagages ou le fret et à laquelle sont fixées les ailes et, certaines fois, le train d'atterrissage principal; la partie arrière, tronçon de forme conique, généralement monobloc, sur laquelle viennent se raccorder les empennages horizontaux et verticaux et dont l'extrémité est appelée le cône arrière.
