OBS

It is government policy to respect and conserve the heritage character of federal buildings. Under this policy, buildings forty (40) years old or older must be identified to the Federal Heritage Buildings Review Office (FHBRO) for evaluation. Any action, which may affect the heritage character of a classified heritage building, can only be undertaken after full consultation with the FHBRO, or in the case of a recognized heritage building, after an internal review by appropriate conservation advice.

Le gouvernement a pour politique de respecter et de conserver le caractère patrimonial des édifices fédéraux. En vertu de cette Politique, les immeubles de 40 ans et plus doivent être signalés au Bureau d'examen des édifices fédéraux du patrimoine (BEEFP), à des fins d'évaluation. Toute intervention pouvant avoir une incidence sur le caractère patrimonial d'un édifice classé doit être effectuée seulement après consultation du BEEFP ou, s'il s'agit d'un édifice patrimonial reconnu, après un examen interne effectué par un conseiller compétent en matière de conservation.
