Pratt & Whitney Aircraft dispose désormais d'une presse isostatique à chaud - la plus grande presse de ce type utilisée dans la métallurgie des poudres dans le monde entier - pour fabriquer les disques de ses réacteurs. Cette presse a coûté plusieurs millions de dollars, mais elle permet une importante réduction de la quantité de métal utilisée dans la fabrication des disques.
