La Fundación del Español Urgente (Fundéu BBVA), con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia Española, explica que el vocablo "precuela" es una adaptación de la voz inglesa "prequel", formada sobre "sequel" (secuela) con sustitución de la primera sílaba por pre-, que se incorporó a la jerga del cine y la literatura hace tiempo, y que por tanto puede usarse sin problemas, pues no había una voz española alternativa con ese sentido preciso. 1, record 1, Spanish, - precuela
