The Property Value Protection (PVP) Program was launched in 2001 as an integral part of the Legal Agreement that led to the creation of the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI). It provides assurance to property owners that if activities arising from the Port Hope or Port Granby projects affect the value of their home or land, compensation is available. The Program includes special services to assist owners of properties that show evidence of project effects and an independent appeals process for claimants who wish to appeal their PVP compensation award. 1, record 1, English, - Property%20Value%20Protection%20Program

1, record 1, French, - Programme%20de%20protection%20de%20la%20valeur%20des%20biens%20immobiliers
