In 1995, Magna Chairman Frank Stronach announced that Magna would be launching the "As Prime Minister Awards", a national program established to solicit new and innovative ideas for creating a more united and prosperous country. Frank Stronach also wanted to inspire young Canadians to become more involved in the political process. Magna International Inc. is pleased to be able to sponsor "The Next Great Prime Minister" program. Magna’s objective for the original awards program and for "The Next Great Prime Minister" remains the same – to engage young Canadians in the political process and to encourage them to think about solutions for improving our country. En 1995 Frank Stronach, le président de Magna, rendait public le programme de Magna «Si J'étais Premier Ministre», un programme national mis en place pour encourager des idées neuves et novatrices devant contribuer à créer un pays plus uni et prospère. Frank Stronach voulait également encourager les jeunes Canadiens à s'impliquer davantage dans le processus politique. Magna International Inc. est heureux de pouvoir parrainer le programme «Le Futur Grand Premier Ministre». L'objectif de Magna pour le programme initial et pour Le Futur Grand Premier Ministre est toujours le même : impliquer les jeunes Canadiens dans le processus politique et les encourager à réfléchir sur des solutions visant à rendre meilleur notre pays.
