Le réseau SIGNET offre une voie de communication protégée reliant tous les employés du Ministère, qu'ils soient dans les missions, à l'Administration centrale ou en voyage à l'étranger. La mise en place du réseau se poursuit et assurera, d'ici 1995, l'interconnexion de quelque 8 000 Canadiens et employés recrutés sur place par le biais d'ordinateurs personnels.
