Avalanche path ... includes the starting zone (where the avalanche initiates), the track (where the avalanche accelerates and may gather more snow), and the runout (where the avalanche decelerates owing to a decrease in slope angle). These areas include but are not limited to steep open slopes, gullies and bowls. It should be noted that avalanche paths come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, and the smaller ones should not be overlooked as they claim a disproportionate share of avalanche victims. 4, record 1, English, - avalanche%20path
