On vous proposera un autre test de dépistage sanguin appelé test prénatal non invasif (TPNI) [...] Il s’agit d’un test de dépistage sécuritaire et extrêmement précis du syndrome de Down et de la trisomie 18 qui est effectué au moyen d’une analyse de sang. Il permet de détecter presque tous les bébés atteints du syndrome de Down et de la trisomie 18. Cela signifie que si le test est négatif, le risque de syndrome de Down ou de trisomie 18 est vraiment faible. Si le test est positif, le risque est élevé. On vous proposera alors une amniocentèse pour confirmer le TPNI positif.
