Autre variété encore fort curieuse et qui se produisait à l'époque où sur les presses d'impression à plat le papier passait en feuilles préalablement découpées: il arrivait alors que le dos d'une feuille porte fortuitement le décalque de la feuille précédente. Cela donnait des timbres dont les deux faces étaient imprimées, et qui sont dits "recto-verso".
