Dérive : Pour pouvoir glisser vers l'avant, on supprime les appuis avant en amenant les bras le long du corps. De même on allonge les jambes de façon à augmenter les appuis arrière. Ensuite, on casse le bassin tout en maintenant le regard sur l'horizon, pour glisser sur la bulle d'air ainsi créée. Enfin, on creuse les épaules pour prendre la forme d'une tuile ce qui rend la dérive encore plus efficace.

OBS

Le terme «dérive» s'emploie également pour décrire le déplacement horizontal involontaire du parachutiste.
