Les ventilateurs à hélice (...) sont des ventilateurs peu coûteux à faible rendement, utilisés lorsque les pressions différentielles sont minimales. La roue du ventilateur comprend habituellement deux ou plusieurs pales d'une même épaisseur, reliées à un petit moyeu. Le carter le plus simple comporte une plaque plate munie d'un trou circulaire alors que d'autres types de carter comprennent un diaphragme ou un venturi pour augmenter la performance du ventilateur.
