Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A valve that releases air trapped at a high point in a pressurized pipeline filled with liquid. 6, record 1, English, - air%20release%20valve
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
An air release valve can open against internal pressure because the internal lever mechanism multiplies the float force to be greater than the internal pressure. This greater force opens the orifice whenever air pockets collect in the valve. Air release valves are essential for pipeline efficiency and water hammer protection. 7, record 1, English, - air%20release%20valve
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
There are three basic types of air valves which are standardized in American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard C512: Air Valves for Waterworks Service. They are air release valves, air/vacuum valves and combination air valves. 8, record 1, English, - air%20release%20valve

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
7, record 1, French, - ventouse
