Vérification MODULO-10. Méthode de vérification. Prenons à titre d'exemple, le NAS suivant : 127972438. 1. Additionnez les 1er, 3e, numéro d'assurance sociale, 5e, 7e et 9e chiffres. 2. Doublez, puis additionnez les autres chiffres. Si le résultat obtenu en doublant un chiffre est supérieur à 9, additionnez les deux chiffres du produit de la multiplication, p. ex. 2 x 9 = 18, alors 1 + 8 = 9. 3. Additionnez les résultats obtenus aux étapes 1 et 2, c.-à-d. 27 + 23 = 50. 4. La somme obtenue doit être un multiple de 10. Si ce n'est pas le cas, le numéro d'assurance sociale NAS est erroné et il faut déterminer le bon numéro.
