ALGORITHME ACHEMINEMENT [4 records]

Record 1 2020-11-04

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Mathematics
  • Internet and Telematics
DEF

An algorithm that constructs the static table to determine which node to send the packet to.

CONT

When a router uses a non-adaptive routing algorithm, it consults a static table in order to determine to which computer it should send a packet of data. This is in contrast to an adaptive routing algorithm, which bases its decisions on data which reflects current traffic conditions.

DEF

An algorithm that constructs the routing table based on the network conditions.

CONT

When a router uses an adaptive routing algorithm to decide the next computer to which to transfer a packet of data, it examines the traffic conditions in order to determine a route which is as near optimal as possible. For example, it tries to pick a route which involves communication lines which have light traffic. This strategy is in contrast to a non-adaptive routing algorithm.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Mathematics
  • Internet and Telematics
CONT

The routing protocol is a routing algorithm that provides the best path from the source to the destination. The best path is the path that has the "least-cost path" from source to the destination.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Mathématiques informatiques
  • Internet et télématique
CONT
