Trademark for a series of polychlorinated polyphenyls liquids, resins, or solids. Properties: water-white mobile liquids and pale yellow viscous oils to light amber resins and opaque crystalline solids. Some types are combustible.

«Aroclor» est le nom sous lequel sont commercialisés les biphényles polychlorés en Amérique. Les biphényles polychlorés sont produits par la réaction du biphényle avec du chlore anhydre en présence de chlorure ferrique utilisé comme catalyseur.
