A disease of peaches caused by a fungus (Taphrina deformans).

Leaf curl is one of the easier diseases to identify. Infected leaves appear blistered, distorted, and may occasionally be coated with a white-grey coating. Fruit infection is characterized by small red lesions.

La cloque du pêcher : C'est une maladie grave et fréquente aussi bien en pépinière qu'au verger, elle est causée par Taphrina deformans. Le symptôme le plus caractéristique s'observe sur les feuilles. Les jeunes feuilles apparaissent pâles et boursouflées. Puis elles se déforment, se cloquent, s'épaississent, prennent une couleur lie-de-vin. Les cloques se couvrent d'une efflorescence blanc rosé qui correspond aux fructifications du champignon. Les feuilles malades finissent par tomber.
