The Crow's Nest Military Artifacts Association is recognized as a museum by the Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and a participant in the Virtual Museum of Canada.

The CNMAA was incorporated in 1987 for three purposes: To own all the historic artifacts of the [Crow's Nest Officers' Club] as distinct from other Club property. To maintain, protect and document the artifacts. To become a charitable organisation and raise funds to help in the protection and maintenance of the artifacts.
