Dose et fréquence d'arrosage. [...] Elle s'exprime en nombre d'arrosages pendant une période déterminée qui est en général le mois ou la campagne d'irrigation, mais parfois le jour pour certains procédés de micro-irrigation ou d'arrosage de cultures en conteneurs (à très faible réserve hydrique) ou encore d'aspersion climatisante (brumisation). On peut aussi l'exprimer par la période de temps séparant deux arrosages successifs, par exemple : un arrosage tous les dix jours. Dose et fréquence sont des paramètres inversement proportionnels; leur produit représente la quantité totale d'eau apportée par l'irrigation pendant la période de temps considérée.
