Glories are formed by backward scattering from cloud or mist droplets. They appear on mountains and hillsides when the sun breaks through mist and when there is an opportunity to look downwards towards the antisolar point. They are always exactly opposite the sun and their delicate coloured rings are centered on the observer's shadow. 3, record 1, English, - glory

2, record 1, French, - gloire
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 1, French, - gloire
