Unlike soluble fibre, insoluble fibre does not dissolve in water. The main types of insoluble fibre include cellulose (primary material of plant cell walls), many hemicelluloses (cereal fibres), and lignins (non-polysaccharide). This is the best type of fibre for constipation, as it helps draw water into the stool to soften it and can help speed up transit time. It also increases fecal weight, which improves bowel movement consistency, and delays glucose absorption. 3, record 1, English, - insoluble%20fibre

1, record 1, French, - fibre%20insoluble

Grit is available in two forms: soluble and insoluble. Soluble grit, such a cuttlebone and crushed oyster shells, dissolves as it passes through the digestive tract and serves as a source of calcium in the avian diet ... Insoluble grit, generally found as sand or small pebbles, remains in the gizzard after ingestion and helps with the mechanical breakdown of food ... Some species of birds, particularly herbivorous or granivorous species such as galliformes, require insoluble grit in their diet for efficient digestion ... 2, record 2, English, - insoluble%20grit

1, record 7, French, - matrice%20insoluble

Contact leaching paint, also known as hard-racing or long-life paints, are also free-association types but have an insoluble matrix. Continuous biocide release is generated by the high biocide concentration ensuring that biocide particles contact each other through the paint film. As surface biocide is released, microchannels are created which permit release of biocide from deeper in the coating. Biocide release rates decrease exponentially with time and effective life is again limited to periods rarely exceeding 18 months. 3, record 8, English, - contact%20leaching%20antifouling%20paint

When mixed with water the substance referred to as gluten comprises two protein fractions: glutenins which are high molecular weight proteins, 150-1000 kdaltons and gliadins which are smaller molecular weight proteins, 25-100 kdaltons. Both protein fractions are rich in the amino acids glutamine and proline but relatively poor in the more basic amino acids. The better wheat cultivars for bread flour are those which have high amounts of the high molecular weight glutenins. Both intra and inter polypeptide chain disulphide bridges in glutenin appear to be important for the viscoelastic properties of bread dough. The loaf volume is inversely related to the proportion of acid soluble glutenin and directly related to the insoluble glutenin content of the flour. 2, record 16, English, - insoluble%20glutenin
