Judges are the only Canadians still entitled to be addressed as if they were peers of the realm, but the nation's supreme law lords and ladies have voted to renounce their "anachronistic" titles. "Counsel are asked to refrain from addressing the judges as 'my lord', 'my lady', 'your lordship' or 'your ladyship'," instructs a notice handed out last week to lawyers at the beginning of the Supreme Court of Canada's fall session. "Supreme Court judges, in court or otherwise, would prefer to be referred to as 'Justice Smith' or 'Justice Jones' rather than 'my lord' or 'my lady'," Justice Major said in an interview. "My lord" and "my lady" remains the standard form of address in Canadian appeal courts, and is also used by some federally appointed trial courts. Provincial court judges, however, are addressed as "your honour". "Your honour" is now used by judges in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. federal courts, except in the United States Supreme Court, where "Justice" is the correct form of address. 2, record 18, English, - Law%20Lords

Founded in 1971 by former San Antonio fundamentalist minister James Ellison, The Covenant, the Sword, and the Arm of the Lord (CSA) was a paramilitary survivalist group which operated an Identity-oriented communal settelement near the Arkansas-Missouri border. Under the guise of being a church, the CSA was a violence-prone purveyor of anti-Semitism and racism. The 100 or more inhabitants of the settlement believed American society to be approaching economic collapse, famine, rioting and a "coming war." They stockpiled arms, food, and wilderness survival gear, and trained in the use of weapons in a mock village called Silhouette City. 1, record 22, English, - The%20Covenant%2C%20the%20Sword%20and%20the%20Arm%20of%20the%20Lord

Wheat was introduced into Western Canada in 1812 by the Selkirk Settlers who settled in the Red River Valley of Manitoba. There were many difficult years in the early history of wheat production. On a number of occasions almost entire crops were destroyed by grasshoppers, rust epidemics and frost. With the introduction of earlier maturing and more disease resistant varieties, the industry progressed in keeping with growth of population. The first wheat exported from Manitoba was 23 tonnes of Red Fife seed to Ontario in 1876. 1, record 24, English, - Selkirk%20Settlers
