As Canada’s contribution to the field of aviation and aerospace continues to grow, the Canada Aviation Museum will be growing along with it, by including the representation of human space flight in its mandate and collection. This initiative is the result of a dynamic partnership between the Canadian Space Agency and the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation. To better reflect the changes in its mandate, the Museum has changed its name to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. These changes will herald a new direction for the Museum in the development, interpretation, and presentation of its expanded collection.

Comme le Canada contribue de plus en plus au domaine de l’aviation et de l’aérospatiale, le Musée de l’aviation du Canada évoluera en intégrant à son mandat et à sa collection la représentation du vol spatial humain. Cette entreprise est le fruit d’un partenariat dynamique entre l’Agence spatiale canadienne et la Société des musées des sciences et de la technologie du Canada. Ainsi, pour mieux refléter ce changement de mandat, le Musée porte maintenant le nom de Musée de l’aviation et de l’espace du Canada. Ce tournant annonce une nouvelle direction pour le Musée dans le développement, l’interprétation et la présentation de sa collection élargie.
