La sarcoïdose ou maladie de Besnier-Boeck-Schaumann est un syndrome plus qu'une véritable maladie car d'une part l'agent étiologique n'a pas été identifié, et d'autre part les lésions histopathologiques ne sont spécifiques de la maladie. Ce syndrome est caractérisé avant tout par une lésion granulomateuse, épithélioïde et giganticellulaire à couronne lymphocytaire sans nécrose.
