Les chercheurs de l'Inra de Bordeaux ont récemment identifié une nouvelle maladie affectant le vignoble du Sud-Ouest. Le black dead arm ou maladie du bois noir mort, serait dû à des champignons du bois du genre botryospheria.

Une nouvelle maladie du bois associé à des champignons du genre Botryosphaeria. Il semble toucher des cepts âgés d'au moins huit ans et n'est observé que sur des vignes qui n'ont pas été traitées à l'arsénite de sodium.
