Riparian meltwater channel marsh: These marshes develop in abandoned channels or in underfit stream channels situated in broad spillway valleys and postglacial alluvial and outwash plains where water flow is ephemeral or discontinuous. The primary water source in the marsh is from surface flow and groundwater inflow.
