The lateral pivot shift test of McIntosh. The examiner lifts the foot of the extended, internally rotated leg with one hand, forces the knee into valgus with the other hand by pushing on the side of the calf, and slowly flexes the knee while maintaining the valgus stress. In a positive test a "subluxation snap" ... will occur at about 30 - 40°.
