This paper deals with the preparation of paraffin/high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites as form-stable, solid-liquid phase change material (PCM) for thermal energy storage and with determination of their thermal properties. In such a composite, the paraffin (P) serves as a latent heat storage material and the HDPE acts as a supporting material, which prevents leakage of the melted paraffin because of providing structural strength.

A computer program that is used by atmospheric scientists to study and predict world-wide trends in weather patterns and the forces and physical laws that affect climate.

The formulae are complicated and require skilled mathematicians, atmospheric scientists, and powerful computers for execution. Five regimes that influence climate are often taken into consideration: atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, and pedosphere. The results of these models are used as reference for other models, policy decisions, and by meteorologists.

To produce a confident prediction of how much energy a proposed wind farm will produce, many years of wind data from the site would be necessary. As there is usually only a year or maybe two of data from the site available, the MCP process is adopted instead. The data measured at the site itself is correlated with data for the same period of time from a nearby meteorological station, and this correlation is then applied to the remainder of the data from the station to produce a synthetic long-term set of wind data for the wind farm site.
