[Deux] techniques sont utilisables pour obtenir une estimation du taux de comptage moyen et donc du débit de fluence neutronique : -la méthode du carré de la tension moyenne [...]; -la méthode du calcul de la variance [qui] consiste à calculer en ligne la variance du signal sur la base d'un échantillonnage rapide. Les amplitudes sont numérisées et un processeur calcule directement la moyenne et la variance des échantillons ainsi obtenus. C'est le principe du traitement numérique des fluctuations.
