Shütze and Lahr report a laser microbeam dissection (LMM) method that literally "catapults" forward the existing laser technology for microdissection and isolation of cells from slices of fixed tissue. Their technique should greatly facilitate the preparation of cDNA libraries from spatially distinct cells for investigations of fundamental biological processes such as embryogenesis, differentiation, development, transformation, and tumerogenesis. 1, record 2, English, - laser%20microbeam%20microdissection

One approach is single-chromosome microdissection, in which a piece is physically cut from a chromosomal region of particular interest, broken up into smaller pieces, and amplified by PCR or cloning. These fragments can then be mapped and sequenced by the methods previously described. 1, record 3, English, - single%2Dchromosome%20microdissection

2, record 3, French, - microdissection%20d%26rsquo%3Bune%20r%C3%A9gion%20chromosomique
