Large amounts of measurements in space and time are always needed to give reliable estimates of mixing in a water body. One particular interest of this work concerns a dense survey of temperature microstructure at different times of year. This enables testing of the characteristics of the turbulence weather in the hypolimnion of the lake.

Production d'hydrogène dans un microsystème : Le but de ce projet consiste à développer un réacteur microstructuré autotherme pour la production d'hydrogène par steam reforming [vaporeformage] du méthanol. La production embarquée d'hydrogène - pour l'alimentation d'une pile à combustible, par exemple - requiert des conditions bien particulières qui ne peuvent être remplies avec des réacteurs traditionnels : temps de réponse court, distribution de temps de séjour étroite, capacité d'échange thermique importante pour permettre le couplage avec une réaction exothermique. Les réacteurs microstructurés permettent de passer outre ces limitations. [...] C'est pourquoi l'emploi de réacteurs microstructurés a été proposé pour fournir «nerveusement» de l'hydrogène à des applications mobiles. Ce dernier est produit dans les 2 500 microcanaux [...] composant le réacteur. Dans d'autres canaux, la chaleur nécessaire à la réaction principale de production de l'hydrogène est fournie par l'oxydation totale du méthanol.
