A form of wagering in which a bettor must select the winners of two designated races on the same racing program.

To win the DD you must correctly pick the winners of both the first and second races (though an occasional track will run a double on other races.).

Where, in respect of the second race of a daily double, no daily double bets have been made that combine the winning horse in the first race of a daily double with the winning horse in the second race of the daily double, an association shall calculate the pay-out price of a daily double pool by dividing the net pool by the value of the bets made that combine the winning horse in the first race with the next horse in the official result, on which bets have been made in the second race of the daily double.
