This class introduces two new concepts. Adaptive Packet Assembly and Data Phase Optimization, both of which further enhance performance. Adaptive Packet Assembly means that the size of the packets in which data is sent between modems is altered according to the quality of the physical link. The higher the line quality, the larger the packets. Data Phase Optimization means that repetitive control information is removed from the data stream to make packets more efficient.
