Several thread suppliers sell spools of monofilament thread, which is very fine and comes in either nylon or polyester. Many quilters prefer polyester monofilament thread because it doesn't stretch as much as the nylon, and therefore isn't as likely to tangle. In addition, nylon thread doesn't do well in heat and it may discolor over time. Still, other quilters choose nylon [invisible] thread for its performance and say it looks the most like hand quilting. 4, record 1, English, - invisible%20thread

1, record 6, French, - monofilament%20recouvert

Woven geotextiles are composed of two perpendicular sets of parallel filaments, tapes or yarns systematically interlaced to form a planar structure. Some woven geotextiles are calendered, which consists of pressing the fabric between heated rollers. Yarns are thus softened and deformed at their crossover point and, as a result, are somewhat mechanically interlocked. 2, record 8, English, - monofilament%20woven%20geotextile
