The mandate of the Ontario Association of Triathletes is: promote and encourage participation in multi-sport events. To ensure safety and fair competition, and to assist, support and promote Ontario athletes from the grass roots level to the elite. We have a voice in the international policies that govern our sport. OAT is a non-profit organization, run by a volunteer Board of Directors. In 1989, OAT became the official governing body for multi-sports events in Ontario.
