[Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars] make up the "terrestrial planets", those more or less like the earth and moon in size and in their chemistry and physics.

The terrestrial planets have smaller masses, as well as smaller sizes, compared with the Jovian planets. They also have higher densities.
