Le ramollissement du feuil de peinture est de deux ordres : 1- Ramollissement réversible : Il n'affecte pas la constitution chimique du liant et disparaît quelques temps après les circonstances qui l'ont provoqué. Ces causes sont purement physiques (élévation de la température - inclusion d'eau ou de solvants - diffusion du plastifiant provenant du subjectile). 2- Ramollissement irréversible : Il est dû à une destruction partielle du liant de la peinture par une réaction à caractère chimique ou photochimique due soit au milieu environnant soit au subjectile (hydrolyse - saponification du liant - dégradation par les rayons UV). 2, record 1, French, - ramollissement
