Two proponents of the integral approach have emerged with the Paul Boyé uniform adapted by the French Army and the Alfred Karcher Safeguard 3002 A1 . The latter, already adopted by Saudi Arabia among others, can be worn with a set of nuclear, biological and chemical underwear for added protection.

A system oriented toward defense of ICBMs. It was composed of traditional exoatmospheric components (the PAR phased-array radar and the Spartan long-range, nuclear-armed interceptor) and traditional terminal defense components (the MSR phased-array radar and the Sprint high-acceleration, nuclear-armed interceptor). This system was developed, extensively tested, and deployed at Grand Forks, North Dakota, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It has subsequently been deactivated.
