... chemical-specific adjustment factors (CSAFs) were developed to replace default assessment factors to address uncertainties in inter- and intraspecies extrapolation in human health risk assessments. CSAFs may consider both toxicokinetic and toxicodynamic properties. These factors can be derived for a single agent or chemical, for a class of chemicals with shared chemical or toxicological properties, and for a group of chemicals that share a mode or mechanism of action or toxicokinetic characteristics. 2, record 1, English, - chemical%2Dspecific%20adjustment%20factor

2, record 18, French, - soci%C3%A9t%C3%A9%20priv%C3%A9e%20sous%20contr%C3%B4le%20canadien%20en%20substance

drug-induced dementia; drug-related dementia: The designation "dementia" is sometimes considered pejorative. However, there is no generally accepted designation to replace "drug-induced dementia" and "drug-related dementia." One strategy to avoid using the word "dementia" is to replace it with "neurocognitive impairment" (for example "drug-induced neurocognitive impairment"). However, while the word "impairment" is acceptable in a medical context, it can sometimes be considered offensive. Depending on the context, another strategy could be using the more generic designation "drug-related brain damage" or "drug-induced major neurocognitive disorder." 4, record 22, English, - drug%2Dinduced%20dementia

drug of choice: Referring to an individual's "drug of choice" minimizes the potential seriousness of their substance use and related harms and implies that substance use merely reflects personal choice. When applied to an individual (e.g., "what's your drug of choice?") the term also suggests that some level/form substance use is assumed. Record number: 79, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Chemicals possess the properties of inhibiting the feeding of insect pests ... these can be classed as antifeedants. The first chemicals noticed with these properties were initially referred to as repellants, but they are not repellants in that they do not merely drive the insect away to another plant but do actually inhibit feeding on that plant. In laboratory tests insects have remained on treated plants indefinitely and eventually starved to death without eating the leaves. In field tests the insects were free to wander elsewhere seeking food ... they either found weed plants to feed on or died of predation and starvation. 8, record 79, English, - antifeedant

As Lord Atkin said in Bell v. Lever Brothers Ltd.: "mistake as to quality of the thing contracted for raises more difficult questions. In such a case a mistake will not affect assent unless it is the mistake of both parties, and is as to the existence of some quality which makes the thing without the quality essentially different from the thing as ti was believed to be". In the light of this statement it has been suggested that a distinction should be drawn between a mistake as to the substance of the thing contracted for, which will avoid the contract, and mistake as to its quality, which will be without effect. 3, record 86, English, - substantial%20error
